MARCH 2020

Hello Parents,

Wanted to let everyone know that if your child stays home they can login to Rockalingua.com and practice and learn Spanish at home.  Your children are very familiar with the website there are games, music videos and worksheets that you can download and print to work on them at home.

This is a great website for my Spanish program and fun and relevant for my student.

The login for Rockalingua.com

Username: hrws        password: gator

They can also login for DUOLINGO with their gmail account from school. Fifth graders enjoy DUOLINGO as well.

Quick update for March:

The fifth grader did a great job learning the food last month. This month we will continue with food and learn what the fifth graders enjoy eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

They are creating a book on their favorite foods they like to eat. They will be sharing their books with Kindergarten class. Keep an eye on those books they will be coming home soon!

We will also focus on Lent this month we will talk about how it is celebrated in Latin America.

Vocabulary words we are learning:

¿Qué te gusta comer?    Me custa comer____.  desayuno, almuerzo, cena, merienda

Things to remind your student to bring to class:

– Spanish Notebook

-earbuds or headphones to listen to independent work on iPad or chrome book.

-pencils and markers eraser

-scissors

-glue stick

Good attitude to learn Español!

When your child is absent or misses a class they are responsible to check with a classmate what they have missed.
If you have any questions please let me know.
